Goban-gai

Gobangai is connected to Tanukikoji and together they run from Takashokoji (Rocho) to Nagayokocho. The name “Gobangai” (Fifth Avenue) was taken from the famous American movie “It Happened on Fifth Avenue”. Gobangai has been a restaurant district since the early 1960s. Its many secluded restaurants give this strip an air of adult sophistication.
