The Higashi Sports Park is an 18-hectare athletic park that is located in the Minato-Takadai area of Hachinohe and about 5 kilometers east of downtown. The park has great views of both the Pacific Ocean and the downtown Hachinohe area.

During spring its cherry blossom trees bloom, and at the beginning of summer so do its rhododendron flowers. It is known for being a great place to exercise, while also having beautiful scenery and nature to nature to relax in.

The Higashi Gym inside the park is also one of the home turfs of the Pro Basket Ball BJ League Team the Aomori ‘Wats’. So the park is also popular with fans of Aomori sports teams.
