Narawazu Hill is located in the Shimin-no-Mori (people’s forest) park and is a great recreational facility. It features beautiful nature, walking paths, a viewing platform that overlooks the whole of Hachinohe City, and even a campground equipped with a stone pizza oven. One of the most popular times to visit the Hill is during autumn when the foliage in the area turns magnificent reds, oranges, and yellows.
The Information Center for the facility is a beautiful building constructed using local timber from the Nanbu red pine, Aomori Hiba cypress, Japanese cedar, etc. The center includes a rest area, a small exhibit on local plants, and a woodworking corner.
