Gonohe Town Museum

The Gonohe Town Museum is located in the former Toyomanai Elementary School and opened in 2018. Inside you can find all sorts of information on Gonohe’s history, customs, culture, industry, and more! Of particular interest are the excavated pottery, stone tools, items about local folk customs, old documents, and a diorama about the Nanbu railroad. Visitors can also view photographs showing how Gonohe looked at different points during its past.

Inside the Museum there is also a shop that sells local products and a café corner, which is a great area in which to rest and chat.
